Matt Hocking (Men’s Coach)
Born in Adelaide, South Australia, Matt played his junior footy for Reynella and Glenelg at U17/U19 level in the SANFL. After moving to Sydney for University, Matt played in the SFL for Campbelltown and Balmain before moving to the US and living in NY. In 2013 Matt moved to Seattle where he took on the role of player/coach for the Seattle Grizzlies, taking them to a Div III National Championship in 2017. Matt now lives in Woodinville, WA with his wife and 2 kids, and has reluctantly been bribed into pulling the boots back on and leading the Men’s team toward a Div II Championship in 2023.
Andrew Donlen (Women’s Coach)
Andrew was born in Penshurst, Australia. His football background stemmed from a career in the Amateur Football league in Victoria where he played in 2 premierships. Andrew has been involved with the Grizzlies since 2001 as a player, coach and supporter. His achievements over the years include BCAFL Champs 2006, Nationals Div 2 Winner 2008, Div 1 Runner up 2009. His Level 2 AFL Coaching Certification will be completed this year. After being awarded USAFL Men's Coach of the Year in 2022, 2023 sees him take on coaching the Seattle Grizzlies Women's team.
